Thank You

Thank YOU for making "Made in the 330 Monday"
Something Really Special

In the aftermath (ha ha) of our first ZipsGuide "Made in the 330 Monday" Holiday Market, we have a lot of debriefing, analyzing and planning for the future ahead. But in the afterglow of the event, what we are feeling most deeply is gratitude. Please indulge us in some thank you messages.

Thank you to our Shoppers and Concert Attendees

Thank you to all of our student shoppers and to the community members who bravely navigated campus (and parking) to come visit our market. We are so grateful for all of you. We estimate that more than 350 people attended and browsed the market. Many of the vendors have already come forward letting us know that they had a good sales day, but even more important to our goal, made lots of connections with our students. If you came out for this event, THANK YOU!

Thank you to our Event Sponsors and Supporters
Please use the above link to read about them and support them. None of this would have been possible without support from the Jean Hower Taber Student Union Conference & Event Team (our presenting sponsor), Mr. Jeff (our children's area sponsor), Downtown Akron Partnership (our Zippy Cookie and Cocoa sponsor) and The University of Akron Division of Student Affairs (who sponsored the student experience in our campaigns class, providing a budget for student-designed promotions). THANK YOU!

Thanks also to our supporters including the University Communications and Marketing Team and The EXL Center, who funds the ZipsGuide interns through Downtown Akron Partnership. THANK YOU!

Thank you to our Vendors

We can appreciate the leap of faith it takes to devote an entire day (and more) of your time trying out a brand new marketplace event. Thank you for taking the leap of faith with ZipsGuide. We've heard that some vendors did very well, and we are thrilled. This was also a learning experience for our student team and faculty lead. The students will walk away with hands-on event logistics and campaign experience and ZipsGuide has gathered and will be gathering more insights and information on how to better support vendors and make future events even more successful. Our biggest regret of the day? None of us on the event team really had time to shop all of your fantastic stands. THANK YOU!

Thank you to the Event Team

If you were impressed with any aspect of the ZipsGuide "Made in the 330 Holiday Market" event, please join us in thanking the student leaders who made it possible. At the above link, you can meet our three event team leads: Beth Lattime, Taylor Loftin and Timara Berry. You will also find the list of students from the Public Relations Campaign class who participated in the event. Need a communication assist from an intern or entry-level pro? Most the the students are seniors who will be graduating in the near future, so look them up! THANK YOU!

Thank You to our Student Volunteers

Students from The University of Akron Ambassadors spent hours and hours of time helping our vendors move in, helping administer the event, and even being the photo taker for Zippy-Claus. Thank you to Phillip Martin, Mason Dexter, Wyatt Cole and Gwen Bushen. We heard nothing but compliments about your volunteer work at the market. THANK YOU!

Today we are tired and thankful and happy. Thanks to all who assisted, pitched in and supported the students of ZipsGuide.
