ZipsGuide is gearing up for a 'Moms, Dads and Grads' gifting local edition this spring and to gear up for it our student intern Madison Latona is planning a series of giveaways, leading up to a grand prize when the new guide releases.

We will be giving away items from businesses offering their goods and services in Akron's downtown district (must be able to pick up your prize) to celebrate shopping local in downtown.

Win by sharing content from ZipsGuide each week of the contest with your followers (we don't care how - FB post, Insta story - as long as we are tagged and the post is public you are entered). When you share ZipsGuide's contest post or any content, you'll use the hashtag #ZipsShopLocal. Each week, after you post, we'll throw your name in the hopper to win.

You can get an extra entry by posting photos of items you have bought from small, local establishments downtown each week (including everything from a coffee to an artisan diamond ring).

How do you participate? 

Follow @ZipsGuideAkron on Instagram and Facebook to make sure you see posts about each week's giveaway. Then, just follow these steps:

1. Share the ZipsGuide socials with your friends and followers.

You can share our contest posts, our profile, other posts on our profile. You can also just ask your followers to check out the Guide. Just make sure to hashtag #ZipsShopLocal and tag us.

2. Bonus Entry: Post a photo of something you have purchased from a small, local, downtown Akron business with the hashtag #ZipsShopLocal and tag ZipsGuide.

On Saturday afternoons, join Madison live for a video drawing to see who wins each giveaway prize. We look forward to giving away some fun and functional items from our small, local shops - join us!
