Street Craftery - DIY Mother's Day Gift Splatter Paint Night

Friday, May 10 from 4:00 to 7:30 p.m. (multiple sessions) at 356 S. Main St.

Gather up the kids and let them go wild showing love for Mom. Together you’ll splatter paint Street Craftery's largest canvas (24“ x 30”) showing off just how much you love her. Don’t spoil the surprise. Leave your paintings overnight to dry and pick them up on Saturday. The splatter event is $65, which includes four (4) participants. Additional participants can be added for $10 each.

Akron Bazaar - Mother's Day Market

Saturday, May 11 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at 159 S. Main St.

The Akron Bazaar invites the community to celebrate the special women in their lives on May 11, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.  at their first ever Mother’s Day Market. This event will host over 50 local vendors showcasing their gifts for mom including jewelry, artwork, clothing and much more. Grab your special mom a special gift or take her along and spend the day enjoying the market together. Admission is free and open.

This might seem like a strange way to celebrate Mother's Day, but some of us moms of littles really do enjoy seeing our kids have fun more than just about anything else. Treat mom and her littles to a morning of music with Mr. Jeff, who recently released his debut album Wonderful, Wonderful, Wonderful. Get tickets here. Does mom love to brunch? For Mother's Day, take her to this cocktail class where she can learn how to make the perfect brunch cocktail. Admission is $30 per participant. Event organizers call this a "Boozy Brunch Adventure." Ticket sales, close soon, so get your tickets today.

The Plannerz Place Eatery - Mother's Day Italian Buffet

Sunday, May 12, 2024, The Plannerz Place Eatery at Northside Marketplace is hosting a Mother’s Day Italian Buffet, from 1 to 5 p.m. Treat your mom to traditional dishes of Italy this Mother’s Day. Straying from their usual rotating menu of soul food, Mama T opted for an Italian menu this Mother’s Day, “because it’s served in a family-style manner, creating a wonderful atmosphere for a family gathering. It offers delicious comfort food that’s reminiscent of home-cooked meals made by moms everywhere.” 

Tickets to the buffet are $40 and are not available to children under the age of 13. Sorry kids! It’s not called Children’s Day, is it?  But, hurry and get your tickets, because seating is limited.

Essential Dipped Delights - Edible Canvas Party for Mom

Sunday, May 12 from 1 to 5 p.m. at Northside Marketplace, 21 Furnace St.

She's kicking that off with a class the week after Mother's Day, geared toward being a gift for mom. Come paint your edible canvas with mom on Wednesday, May 15 from 6 to 8 p.m. in Northside Marketplace. Get your tickets ASAP, because if you look around you will have a hard time finding a more affordable version, as this class is just $30/person for two hours of sweet fun with mom.
